🌿 Welcome Artists 🌿

Thank you for your interest in Art on the River, a curated visual arts experience within the Rockin’ the River Arts & Music Festival in Elba, Alabama.
Art on the River is thoughtfully juried to create a cohesive, high-quality arts experience for both artists and the community. Because of this, artist vendors and gallery artists do not apply through the general vendor form.
Please take a moment to review the process below before submitting your materials.

Step 1: Review the Artist Application Packet

Before applying, please download and carefully review the Art on the River Artist Application & Prospectus Packet attached on this page.
This packet includes:
  • Ways to participate (Gallery Artist and/or Artist Vendor)
  • Important dates and deadlines
  • Vendor fees and logistics
  • Curation and selection details
  • Sales and commission information
  • Artist hospitality and festival support
We want to make sure this opportunity is a good fit for you — and that you have a clear sense of what to expect.

Step 2: Prepare Your Submission

After reviewing the packet, please gather the following:
  • A brief description of your work
  • 2–5 images of recent or representative pieces
  • Your preferred participation type:
    • Gallery Artist
    • Artist Vendor (outdoor booth)
    • Or both

Step 3: Submit Your Application by Email

Once you’re ready, please email your materials directly to our Artist Coordinator:

Katie Chase
Artist Coordinator, Art on the River
📧 [email protected]

Katie will confirm receipt of your materials and guide you through next steps if your work is accepted.

What Happens Next?
  • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis
  • Artists are vetted to ensure alignment with the overall vision and quality of Art on the River
  • Accepted artists will receive:
    • Confirmation of acceptance
    • Instructions for completing vendor registration (if applicable)
    • Additional logistical details as the festival approaches

A Quick Note on Curation

Art on the River is intentionally curated to support original, handmade, and artist-driven work. Our goal is to create a welcoming, inspiring environment where artwork has room to be seen, appreciated, and valued. If you’re unsure whether your work is a fit, we encourage you to reach out — we’re happy to answer questions.
